Today’s topic “Seattle 2020 Broken Windows ”
In 2020, Seattle businesses faced extraordinary challenges as they struggled financially due to COVID-19 while also confronting the destructive impact of protests and riots that swept through the city. Numerous establishments fell victim to smashed windows, theft, and graffiti vandalism, leaving a trail of destruction and financial loss in its wake. One Capitol Hill property owner filed a claim seeking compensation exceeding $69,000 from the City of Seattle to address damages including broken windows, boarding-up services, and graffiti removal. Sadly, the overall price tag for property damage since May has reached staggering heights, threatening the very existence of countless small and large businesses. However, with safety and security window films as well as anti-graffiti solutions, the extent of destruction could have been significantly mitigated. Our mission is to safeguard Seattle’s businesses, from humble mom-and-pop shops to prominent retailers, by implementing these protective measures and ensuring a more secure future.
